At the Apple event, the company revealed the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, which, as expected, represent mostly incremental updates with a few noteworthy new features. However, the most significant change that will impact many potential buyers is Apple’s decision to bid farewell to the Lightning port, which was first introduced in 2012 with the iPhone 5. As anticipated, the Lightning port is being replaced with USB-C.
This transition in port technology is expected to have a substantial impact on both potential buyers and the broader iPhone ecosystem.
In terms of camera improvements, while the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus still feature only two distinct camera lenses, they now come equipped with the same 48-megapixel sensor initially introduced in last year’s iPhone 14 Pro. This sensor groups pixels to produce a 24-megapixel output, but users can also zoom in and utilize the central 12 megapixels for a 2x telephoto option. Additionally, there’s a new portrait mode that activates automatically when the camera detects a person or pet in focus.
So now if you plan to travel in a hilly area with your friends or family then don’t forget to use your iPhone 15’s camera to capture some amazing pictures.
